My Bio
I enjoy working with people of all ages. I have a deep passion for helping individuals restore a sense of autonomy after experiencing trauma and helping my clients live their best lives. It is my hope to build connections and meet you where you are at. My style of counseling is based on creating a sense of safety in your life and cultivating deeper connections within yourself. I primarily utilize a blend of humanistic theory, narrative therapy, client-centered therapy, and EMDR. I believe that you are the expert in your own life. Themes we might discuss involve the framework of communication patterns, self-esteem, and self-worth and build upon your internal strengths. Our collaboration may include exploring areas in your life that are painful, uncomfortable, stressful, or challenging. I will strive help you feel empowered and create resiliency as we work through these struggles together.
I also have experience in working with adolescents and adults who are survivors of sexual violence, as well as those who struggle with anxiety, depression.
I am currently finishing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University and I received a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University in Human Development and Family Studies and I hold a Master of Arts in Education. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and my three dogs. I love to travel, read, garden, volunteer with a dog rescue and spend time with friends and family.
