My Bio

My name is Harry Wallace and I am a student intern here at ITTC. I view the primary healing component in any form of therapy to be the therapeutic relationship built between the client and counselor. It is through this genuine, compassionate, and professional relationship that each and every individual’s inherent wholeness and ability for growth flourishes. Because of this, I see therapy as a joint experience, uniquely catered to each individual client, that emphasizes personal growth and wellbeing over diagnosing and pathologizing.

I’m currently completing my master’s in Mindfulness Based Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa University. My orientation is Gestalt, which means I’m less interested in fixing, changing or removing any parts of you, and more interested in helping you get curious about all the different parts that make you who you are. From there, we can start helping those parts work together instead of against each other. I bring a steady, grounded presence into each counseling session and I care about creating a space where you can feel safe, seen, and understood in an authentic way.

For a brief snapshot of me outside of the counseling room, I’m a big basketball fan, I’ll play pretty much any board game you put in front of me, and I’m a devoted consumer of fantasy stories in every form, books, shows, all of it.  Oh, and I’m definitely a cat person!
