My Bio
Greetings! Mental health is an important journey, and I applaud you for engaging with yours. I seek to honor that effort by treating the relationship between the client and counselor as one based on rapport, honesty, and trust, and I believe in respecting the client as the expert in their own experiences. It is important to me to honor the dignity and worth of each person while maintaining a warm, empathetic approach to communication.
My therapeutic approach is non-judgmental, strengths-based, and incorporates elements of CBT as well as parts work. My primary area of focus is addressing trauma through the exploration of patterns and cognitions often established by adverse experiences. Together, we will work on untangling the complex associations we often carry as a result of what we’ve been through. Through careful, mutual exploration, we will establish the groundwork that is essential for self-discovery and the remapping of emotion.
I’m currently a graduate student at Tulane University’s School of Social Work, where my focus is on providing trauma-informed practice through a person-centered lens. I bring with me a passionate curiosity about individuals and their life experiences, and prioritize active collaboration as a foundation for care. It’s my belief that a strong, accepting, and compassionate therapeutic relationship can provide an essential foundation for healing and personal growth, and that we all deserve to be seen fully and supported, no matter where we are in life.
Outside of counseling, you can usually find me watching anime or horror films, or spending time with my 14-year-old poodle mix, Milhouse. I’m also an avid video gamer and have a love for retro media.
