My Bio

Welcome! My name is Cheyenne, and I have been a part of the ITTC team since September of 2021. As a therapist, I aim to create a space where you will feel safe, cared for, respected, and welcomed to explore deeper layers of your story. I view counseling and therapy as a collaborative process, and I believe that you are the expert of your own experience. My ultimate goal is to walk alongside you through the journey of healing with respect and humility. I firmly believe in every person’s capacity to grow and heal, and my hope is to build a counseling relationship where you feel safe and secure to explore the various facets of your identity and find the most expansive, truest self possible.
I am a licensed professional counseling associate, and I have spent the last six years working primarily with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other interpersonal violence. This work has given me a deep passion for helping individuals restore a sense of autonomy after experiencing trauma. My therapeutic style focuses on promoting agency, creating a felt sense of safety in your body and life, and cultivating deeper connections within yourself. I primarily utilize a blend of feminist theory, narrative therapy, somatic therapy, attachment theory, and client-centered therapy. Additionally, my approach centers on a multicultural and social justice orientation—meaning that our work will take into account that the things we experience do not happen in a vacuum.
I received my Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in addictions from Lewis and Clark, and received a Bachelor’s of Science from Southern Oregon University in Psychology with a minor in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies. Outside of the office I enjoy being outside and going hiking and kayaking. I love to read and almost always have a book in my bag. I am a huge craft enthusiast, obsessed with dogs (you may even see my own puppy occasionally during our appointments, as she loves to pop into the zoom screen to say hello), and am a lifelong Oregonian.
