My Bio

As your therapist, I hold deep compassion for the person that you are, with the unique experiences and challenges that shape you. I also bring a fundamental trust in your innate human capacity to gain perspective on those experiences, to grow, and to heal.

It is my goal to work with you to create a space that is safe and welcoming of all aspects of yourself. Together, we’ll tune into thoughts, feelings, and the body’s signals, and build your capacity to use these as information and guidance for moving through the world with more ease.

I am currently a graduate student at Saybrook University, pursuing my Master’s degree in counseling. My therapeutic approach is deeply humanistic, empathetic, person-centered, and collaborative. The way I work is informed by relational-cultural, narrative, and cognitive approaches to help clients frame their individual stories in the broader social context, befriend their thoughts and emotions, and live by their values.

Before coming to this work, I worked for many years in the nonprofit arena, and spent more than a decade as a postpartum doula with an emphasis on trauma-informed care and perinatal mental health. I am passionate about supporting people through the challenges – and growth opportunities – of transitions across the lifespan. My style is warm, authentic, pragmatic, and suffused with curiosity.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my children, reading, skiing and hiking, crafting, and building community.
