My Bio
Reaching out for help is not easy, and I applaud your courage as you look to make real change, find hope, and create a more meaningful life.
My therapeutic background concentrates in helping individuals who live with trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, and struggle in relationships. I offer a relatable, reliable, and relevant style that allows the therapeutic process to proceed organically through an alliance with you as my client. This collaborative relationship we develop is the primary element that facilitates positive and beneficial changes in your life. My goal is to assist you in developing tools and skills to achieve and maintain a sense of balance and to cultivate the wisdom necessary for lifelong growth and development.
The key factor for therapeutic growth is the quality of the relationship between the client and their counselor. I am devoted to ensuring every aspect of you is welcomed with kindness, acceptance, and compassion during our time together. I prioritize deepening my therapeutic connection with my clients, collaborating to achieve the harmonious life you deserve — celebrating your victories, highlighting your strengths, and supporting you when life feels overwhelming. Through this bond, my clients are empowered to navigate, heal, and grow from the circumstances life inevitably brings.
I come to the therapeutic relationship with a diverse range of life experiences that shape who I am and how I approach my work. I have been passionate in my counselor education training learning and supporting organizations for social justice, equality, and the delivery of culturally competent services to marginalized populations.
Currently, I am finishing my dual master’s degrees in clinical mental health counseling and school counseling. I am enjoying my pursuits as an intern as both a trauma informed clinician at ITTC as well as a middle and elementary school-based counselor. My passion for working with people who have experienced trauma is deep-rooted. I began my career 20 years ago in the medical field working in surgery and emergency services at a Level 1 trauma hospital but I have found my purpose transitioning into the mental health field.
