My Bio
Guided by queer, feminist, and person-centered theories, I am passionate about all forms of embodiment and finding ways to facilitate the connection between the mind and the body that make sense for each client. I recognize that people come from unique backgrounds and move at their own pace, so no two therapeutic processes will be the same. I am committed to holding space for client’s personal growth and healing journeys, especially for LGBTQ+ folks. Our first few sessions will be spent building a strong therapeutic relationship where I will learn more about what is bringing you into counseling and we will explore how we want to move forward together. I am committed to counseling from a trauma-informed, social justice, anti-racist, and anti-oppression framework. Deciding to get therapy is an important step in your healing journey, thanks for taking it with me.
I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health at Adams State University in Alamosa, Co. My path to becoming a counselor has been a winding one, and I am excited about this midlife career change! Outside of ITTC, I am a powerlifter, theater artist, and cyclist fueled by ice cream.
