My Bio
I recently graduated from Simmons University with an MSW and a focus on clinical work with people of varied backgrounds (BIPOC, neurodiversity), that have experienced trauma. I approach this work through theories of social justice to include intersectional feminism.
I work through a trauma informed lens to collaborate with you on current life issues and unresolved trauma. I have experience working with women and LGBTQIA+ individuals addressing resources, skills, and interpersonal concerns. I hope to provide a space that feels safe, open, and non-judgmental so that you can feel empowered to live the life that you want. I have experience/interest in both CBT (working with negative thoughts/feelings) and DBT (mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation), as well as working with narrative therapy in regards to marginalized groups. I have an interest in sensorimotor skills that both provide grounding and safety within the body.
