Trauma-Informed Massage & Therapeutic Touch
A Collaborative Approach to Body-Based Healing

Trauma can affect more than our thoughts and emotions. It may also influence how we experience physical sensations, tension, pain, rest, connection, and touch.
For some people, thoughtfully paced bodywork can provide an opportunity to notice physical sensations, experience supportive touch with clear boundaries, and reconnect with their bodies on their own terms. Massage may also support relaxation and provide relief from stress-related tension or physical discomfort.
Trauma-informed massage recognizes that touch can feel vulnerable. Choice, consent, communication, and personal control are therefore central to ITTC’s approach. You are encouraged to share what feels comfortable, ask questions, request changes, pause, or end a session at any time. You never need to explain or disclose your trauma history to receive respectful care.
Massage and bodywork are complementary wellness services and are not psychotherapy or a replacement for mental health or medical treatment.

Simone’s Approach
Simone is passionate about supporting people healing from PTSD and trauma, as well as those seeking relief from chronic pain, muscle tension, inflammation, and injuries.
For Simone, massage is about more than relieving physical discomfort. She believes bodywork can create space for greater presence, ease, and connection with your body.
Every session begins with a careful, collaborative assessment. Simone takes time to understand your goals, comfort level, preferences, and current needs so she can meet you and your body exactly where you are—working with you, never against you.
Clients often share that they leave their sessions feeling seen and cared for, with less pain and tension and a greater sense of ease and connection.
Services
Simone draws from several approaches to create sessions tailored to each person:

Independent Contractor Information: Simone is an independent contractor who operates Tending Blue Fields Bodywork within the ITTC building. Although we have carefully vetted Simone and confirmed that her approach aligns with ITTC’s trauma-informed values and practices, her services are provided independently from ITTC.
Tending Blue Fields Bodywork is responsible for its own pricing, scheduling, paperwork, records, and policies and procedures. Questions about these areas should be directed to Simone.
We encourage clients to share questions, concerns, or feedback directly with Simone whenever possible. However, if you have feedback that you do not feel comfortable sharing with her—or have been unable to resolve with her—you are welcome to contact a member of ITTC’s operations or clinical team.
