Alternative therapies have the ability to connect our minds, bodies, and spirits. The mind is characterized as the element of a person that enables them to be aware of their world and their experiences. The body is the physical makeup of the individual and someone’s spirit captures the unique essence of any given person. Integrative approaches to mental health look at this connection using talk therapy, body centered movement, and spiritual practices for holistic healing.
