Tiffany Ryan, PhD, MSW, LMT, RYT200
I completed my Bachelors and Masters of Social Work at Arizona State University and my Doctorate in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin. My work has focused on homeless youth and youth who have been a part of the foster care system. I completed Massage Therapy and Yoga Instructor education at the Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy in 2017. I have been in the “helping” field for the past 14 years as a Social Worker, Researcher, and Social Work Professor. I have benefited from massage and yoga personally, I understand the connection between our mind and body, and I want to be a part of a holistic approach to treating trauma or emotional distress.
My mission as a Massage Therapist is to provide a space for you to connect your mind, body, and spirit through therapeutic touch. I am trained in Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Rock Tape, Oncology Massage, and bodywork for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). My skills and approach are beneficial to all populations seeking pain relief, emotional release, or simply deep relaxation.
I am also uniquely trained to work with special populations such as those who are medically fragile or are experiencing emotional turmoil. As a Social Worker and a person who has witnessed the effects of dealing with serious illness, I am incredibly passionate about providing relief from the physical and emotional ailments associated with traumatic events, cancer, and other illnesses. I understand the unique factors involved in giving a safe and effective massage to those who are medically and emotionally fragile.
