Nancy Feltner was born in Detroit Michigan, and has had the wonderful opportunity to have lived in Alaska, California, Missouri and Arizona. She has had a wide experience in nursing ranging from working with the Navy to Urgent Care, private pediatric practice and in teaching parent groups. After settling in Oregon, she worked with a pediatric practice dealing with children and their families who are experiencing difficulties in school and home life. This became a focus and passion for Nancy.
She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s in Nursing, then obtained a Master’s in Nursing Education, and had time teaching community nursing and mental health to nursing students at Concordia University. Wanting to return to pediatric practice, she returned to Arizona State University to obtain a Master’s in Family and Child Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Currently she is working on her Doctor in Nursing Practice, with the emphasis on population medicine, as well as certification in Autism Nursing Practice and Trauma Based Care. Nancy spends her time between our facility and a pediatric facility in Woodburn working with Hispanic children. Her specialty areas include ADHD treatment and diagnosis of children and adults, Autism Spectrum Disorders and the care of children on the spectrum, as well as working with the general areas of mental health including depression, anxiety, PTSD, Veterans and behavioral issues.
Nancy is the parent of two adult children and two boxers. She enjoys her time with them, going to the beach, farmer’s markets, college football, and hockey and exploring the State of Oregon. Her philosophy is you can’t move forward if you are still living in the last chapter.
